Misfits Shirts
About the Misfits: From the American punk revolution of the late '70's, the Misfits evolved. The Misfits were formed in 1977 by frontman Glenn Anzalone ( Glenn Danzig) along with bassist and high school friend, Jerry Caiafa (Jerry Only). The bands' name was taken from Marilyn Monroes final film. The Misfits were formed in Lodi, NJ and became regulars at CBGB's in New York. The Misfits recruited drummer Manny and recorded the single "Cough Cool/She". This was done without guitar and was released by their own Blank Records(later to be changed to Plan 9).
To beefn' the sound, Manny was replaced by Mr. Jim ( Jim Catania) and added guitarist Franche Coma (Frank LiCata).
The 4-some recorded a four song e.p. entitled BULLET. This was the beginning of a new Misfits sound, poppy, thrashy and full of b-movie lyrical content.
The Misfits replaced guitarist Franche Coma with Bobby Steele formerly of the Whorelords.
In addition to the powerful onslaught, the Misfits added drummer Joey Image to replaced Mr. Jim. Joey Image eventually left the band during a tour of the UK with the Damned due to Glenn Danzig being arrested in a bar fight.
Upon return to the states, Arthur Googey took on the drummer role and personality conflicts separated Bobby Steele from the Misfits.
The next guitarist would be Jerry Only's younger brother Paul Caiafa better known as Doyle. This would be the line-up for the Misfits first released full length album entitled WALK AMONG US distributed by Slash, a subsidiary of Ruby records.
About the Misfits shirts: Adult Sizes
Adults sizes are Men's sizes. All measurements show here are approximations only. Length and Width vary slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer. Length is measured from the neck line to the bottom hem. Width is measured from under arm to under arm across the chest. Remember these are the shirt measurements,not your body's measurements.
All shirts are pre-shrunk, however, all garments will shrink slightly in the first wash. Length will lose about 1", and width will lose about ½". Wash according to manufacturer's recommendation on the neck tag.
